KANNUR: V Kunhikrishnan, the independent candidate from Payyanur, released evidence on the allegations related to the Martyrs Fund fraud in Payyannur. V Kunhikrishnan released crucial bank documents related to the Martyrs Fund. Sharing the bank details in this regard, V Kunhikrishnan noted that the area secretary had transferred Rs. five lakh from the Martyrs Fund to his own name.

Kunhikrishnan clarified that the leaders, including the MLA, created a false document stating that the money was spent on house construction to dupe the people. Kunhikrishnan promised to release more evidence in the coming days. V Kunhikrishnan said that the people of Payyannur will understand this evidence and will judge the corrupt people among them.

V KUNHIKRISHNAN:

“Since the election campaign began in Payyannur, CPM centres denied news of misappropriation of funds in Payyannur and even went to the extent of saying that not a single rupee of the party has been lost.

If you want irrefutable evidence, I am ready to present the full list of embezzlement. This group may come up with justifications against this evidence, too. But the truth shines like the sun above any justifications. If you try to hide that truth with darkness, more evidence will come out.

I am placing before the public the proof of the transfer of Rs. 5 lakhs from the account of the Brave Martyr Comrade Dhanraj Family Relief Fund at the Payyannur Rural Bank Main Branch on July 9, 2018, to the personal account of the then Area Secretary.

The bank account statement and a copy of the account of the expenditure of the Dhanraj Martyr Fund, shown to the committee, are being posted herewith. What more proof do this party, the people of this country and the media need to confirm that the party leadership in Payyannur embezzled money even from the fund collected in the name of the brave martyr comrade Dhanraj?”
