KASARGOD: The police have registered a case in connection with the clash that broke out during the music concert of Malayalam singer Hanan Shaah near the new bus stand. The police registered the case after 20 people sustained injuries and many suffered a physical discomfort. The case is against the event’s organizers and committee members.

The incident occurred after more people gathered. A warning was issued that only about 3,000 people would be allowed to enter, but the police preliminary information is that more than 10,000 arrived.

A large crowd gathered even before the music concert started. Traffic in the city came to a standstill and with this the police stopped the event. The police resorted to lathicharge as the crowd became unmanageable. Reports said many collapsed. Around 15 who suffered physical discomfort were taken to the hospital. Their condition is stated to be stable.
