PALAKKAD: The task force has started the process to capture the wild elephant named PT-7 (Palakkad Tusker 7) by Saturday. The force will reach to PT 7 which is under surveillance Thursday afternoon. Presently, kumki elephants Vikram and Bharathan are camping in Dhoni's camp. In addition to this, the force has asked for Konni Surendran from Muthanga.
Konni Surendran will reach Dhoni once the chief forester issues an order. Some from the force had reached Palakkad last night. Dr Arun Zacharia will arrive this afternoon. After that, the final outline for tranquilising will be discussed in the review meeting. The terrain in Dhoni is a challenge for the mission. It has been decided to tranquilise the elephant close to maximum populated area.
