Samastha yields; change in school timings to continue, says Minister V Sivankutty

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister V Sivankutty said that the government will move forward with the decision on changing school timings. The minister announced this after a discussion with the school managements. The minister said that most of the organizations welcomed the government's decision.

"There were some complaints and protests regarding the time change. A meeting was called with the management association on the basis of that. Everyone's opinion was heard. The government explained in the meeting under what circumstances such a decision was taken. The majority welcomed the decision. Some shared different opinions. They were informed of its difficulties. If there are any complaints, they will be examined next academic year," the minister said.

Meanwhile, Samastha had responded that they were satisfied with the discussions with the minister. Umar Faizi Mukkam said that the minister had assured that discussions would be held to make the necessary changes in the next academic year. Umar Faizi's response was that the education minister's assurance was hopeful and that there would be no change in the madrasa timings.
