Viral forest watcher killed in elephant attack

IDUKKI: A watcher of Devikulam forest range office was killed in an elephant attack. He was attacked Wednesday morning at Santhanpara in Idukki. He has been identified as Shaktivel of Santhanpara Panniar Estate Ayappankudi. Sakthivel came there to drive away the herd of wild elephants.

A video of Sakthivel scolding a wild tusker had gone viral two months ago. In the video we can see the elephant gong back after scolded by him. After this incident, a video of Sakthivel preventing an elephant from attacking two bikers also had gone viral.
