Youth killed after bike rams into metro median

KOCHI: A youth was killed after a bike lost control and rammed into a metro median in Tripunithura. The dead is 24-year-old Hormis Mathew, son of Biju of Tripunithura Thekkumbhagam Chitra Nagar and Nikhi Urumees. The accident occurred near metro pillar number 953 in the Champakkara-Petta section at around 1.45 am today.

Hormis, who suffered serious head injuries, was immediately taken to a private hospital in Vyttila but his life could not be saved. The youth was going to his friend's house in Vyttila from Tripunithura. The body kept at the Ernakulam General Hospital, will be handed over to his relatives after postmortem. His siblings are Celine and Joseph.
