‘He was bedridden for four years, right hand partially paralysed,’ Nisha talks about accident Robin Gireesh met

'Robin' bus is the name that is in news and on social media now. Even though the Motor Vehicle Department officials in Kerala and Tamil Nadu have been imposing heavy fines for permit violations, the support given by the people has not been waned. Robin's owner Girish has many fans and this is proved by the reception accorded to the bus everywhere. Now Girish's wife Nisha talks openly about the bad experiences in their life and about their survival.

‘Girish met with an accident after four and a half years of marriage. Both children were small at that time. The nerve in the right arm got badly affected and the hip joint got detached. Girish did not pay heed to the doctors’ advice to go for a micro vascular surgery. 2.5 inches of leg bone was removed due to infection. He was not able to wear his shirt without someone's help. Was afraid when he goes out alone,’ said Nisha.

'Girish's strength is not only me, but his brothers and a few of his good friends who stood with him. He got enemies as he followed the straight path. I am not the one who terms everything right what her husband does. I’ve pointed out all his mistakes. All those who gave legal advice in the case of the bus and those who stood by them are honest people. Now, despite all these problems, he spoke very calmly. He had never been so patient in his nature before that accident. He faced everything very maturely. We didn't do anything for publicity. Now we have the prayers of many people. We got worried only when our lawyer died now,’ added Nisha.

The Robin Bus taken into custody by the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicle Department, resumed service on the Pathanamthitta - Coimbatore route the other day. There was no checking by the Motor Vehicle Department in both the states the other day. The bus was accorded a reception at many places during the services yesterday. However, the MVD fined Robin again this morning. A fine of Rs 7,500 was imposed for violation of permit.
