ALLEPPEY: In the discussion in district committee meeting related to the outline of CPM organization, there was severe criticism against the board and corporation officials and members. It is alleged that they do not come out for party proceedings and are doing their proceedings while sitting in cold office rooms. The discussion was in the presence of state secretary MV Govindan.

The discussion was held in connection with the march led by CPM state secretary MV Govindan and the outline of organizational rectification of state and district committees. The argument was raised in the meeting that the division of the Alappuzha Area Committee into two was the reason for the escalation of sectarianism. But the other side argued that the division of the area committee was good for the party. They also argued that the historic victory in the Alappuzha municipal elections was due to the active work of the two area committees. The division helped the Ambalapuzha and Alappuzha MLAs to get a majority.

The state secretary gave strict instructions in the meeting to stop the trend of leaking organizational matters to the media. There was criticism in the district secretariat meeting last day that the gravity of the party issues in Kuttanad is the lack of collective responsibility. State secretariat members PK Biju, Dinesan Puthalath, KN Balagopal, Saji Cherian, Adv. CS Sujatha attended the two-day meeting.
