Sonia Gandhi admitted to hospital, condition stable, say doctors

NEW DELHI: Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi due to fever. The note released by the hospital authorities said her health condition is satisfactory.


76-year-old Sonia is being treated by a team including Arup Basu, senior consultant, department of chest medicine. It is reported that Sonia was admitted to the hospital yesterday.


This is the second time she has been admitted to a hospital this year. In January, Sonia Gandhi had been admitted to a Delhi Hospital for treatment of a viral respiratory infection.
