BENGALURU: It is alleged that an attempt is ongoing to frame the Malayali girl who went through sexual assault in a honey trap case. Hainus, the accused and a native of Sultan Bathery in Wayanad, filed a complaint at the Madiwala police station alleging that a honey trap attempt was being made against him. The woman and her friends came to know about the honey trap complaint when they approached the Bengaluru North DCP. The accused filed the complaint before going into hiding. The police have not registered a case on his complaint. As per the latest report, Hainus has been arrested in Wayanad.

The girl said that when she first filed the complaint, the Madiwala police were not even ready to file an FIR. The complainant said that the police asked her to wait and even threatened her in various ways. When she told them about the assault, the police suggested that a compromise would be better. The complainant said that it was only after the DCP told her that she understood that a move was ongoing to charge a honey trap case against her.

A college student was sexually assaulted in Bengaluru on May 12. On the 13th, the girl and her friends approached the Madiwala police with a complaint. They reached the station at 7 am and had to remain at the station till 11 pm. In the meantime, they faced threats from the policemen. The police allegedly told them to settle the case or else face trouble. It was then that the student and her friends decided to approach the DCP.
