Black flag waved at CM in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: A black flag was waved at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Kozhikode district. The black flag was waved at two places in the city, Vadakara and Thamarassery. Youth Congress activists and Yuva Morcha activists waved flags at the Chief Minister near the premises of Dental college and at Mundikkal Thazhath. The police arrested them. Following the Chief Minister's visit, the youth leaders and activists of the opposition were in preventive custody. Youth Congress Kozhikode district president R. Shaheen and KSU district president VT Nihal were taken into custody by the Nadakavu police. Youth League Pudupadi Panchayat General Secretary KC Shihab, MSF Thiruvambadi constituency president Harshid Noorathodu and Fuhad Kaidapoyyil were also taken into custody by the Thamarassery police.

At the same time, DCC President Adv. K Praveenkumar protested against the arrest of KSU activists by sitting in front of the police station.

Youth Congress activists waived black flag in Vadakara. The incident took place near Vadakara Parco Hospital on the national highway at around 8 pm last night.
