DHAKA: 14 people were killed in a high explosive blast in a seven-storeyed building in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka. According to reports, the death count may rise. The incident happened in Dhaka’s Gulistan area on a building which is placed in the busy Siddique bazaar. The blast took place on the ground floor of the building which happened at 4 pm in the evening.
Many people are said to be trapped on the higher floors of the building. The injured were rushed to Dhaka medical college and all of them are said to be in serious condition. 11 fire services emergency units are at the location and rescue operations are underway.
