Youth arrested for sexually abusing woman met on social media, snatches Rs 2 lakh 

KOLLAM: A 24-year-old youth has been arrested for sexually abusing a woman whom he met on social media on the pretext of marriage. The accused has been identified as Sajith of Sajith Nivas in Kalluvathukkal.

He sexually abused her whom he met on Instagram many times. He established a friendly relationship with her after hiding that he is already married. He abused her at his rented house in Paripally pretending love. The woman, a divorcee, was staying alone.

The woman alleged that he had snatched Rs 2,17,000 several times. When she knew that he is married, she asked him to return the money. As he did not return the money, she lodged a complaint at the Paripally police station. Following an investigation conducted, he was arrested by a team led by Paripally police inspector Aljabar.
