Man dies after private bus hits scooter

KOZHIKODE: A scooter rider met a tragic end after a bus hit his scooter around 10 am on Tuesday. Eight people were injured as the bus overturned into a pool of water. The deceased has been identified as Arjun Sudheer (27), a native of Kuzhi in Karuthedath in Aduvad in Mavoor and an employee of Reliance.

Eight injured bus passengers were admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. Kannipparambu Gopalan, a bus passenger, was seriously injured. The private bus coming from Kozhikode to Mavoor tried to avoid hitting the oncoming scooter by steering suddenly. The bus eventually hit the two-wheeler, lost control and flipped upside down into the water body. The scooter and the bus together fell into the water body which was about fifteen feet deep. Arjun Sudheer was rushed to the hospital with severe head injuries but could not be saved.

Arjun Sudheer is the son of Sudheer. Mother: Susheela. Wife: Aswathy. Son: Drona. Siblings: Athulya and Aparna. The body was cremated at Vellallassery public crematorium.
