KOCHI: The High Court on Friday rejected the petition filed by Mani C. Kappan to quash a 3.25 crore cheating case filed by Mumbai Malayali Dinesh Menon.
The case is that money was stolen by promising to give Kannur airport shares.
According to the complainant, the amount borrowed in 2010 was not paid, and he prepared to take legal action. After this, Mani C. Kappan gave four checks on 19 November 2013 and agreed to pay the money back in two installments.
Pointing out that the petitioner had the intention to cheat from the circumstantial evidence, the court stated that the case cannot be quashed. The single bench held that the action of the lower court was legal and correct.
