Travel in luxury vehicles, stay in OYO rooms, transactions through other people's phones; model who delivers drugs to DJ parties arrested

KOCHI: Excise has arrested a model who is the ringleader of a gang that smuggles drugs to DJ parties in the city. Rose Hemma (Sherin Charu-29) of Cherthala was the one who got arrested. 1.90 grams of MDMA was also seized from her. She was selling drugs under the code name Snowball.

Hemma's main middleman was nabbed by the Special Action Team headed by Ernakulam Enforcement Assistant Commissioner B Tenimon from a room (Oyo Room) booked online in Kochi. Information about Hemma was obtained during further investigation. The investigating team waited as he revealed that Hemma would come to the hall with drugs. Hemma, who came to Padivattom at night, was caught red-handed.
The young men and women who were caught with drugs recently had given hints about Hemma arriving in luxury vehicles, but they did not disclose further details due to fear of her links with gangs. Hemma used to travel in the vehicles of customers when she used to go out with drugs. The transaction will be done on someone else's phone and used to book OYO rooms to avoid getting caught. Excise officials also said that she has close links with gangs in Kochi.
