Sheikh Khaled named as crown prince of Abu Dhabi

DUBAI: Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the UAE and the ruler of Abu Dhabi, has announced his eldest son Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the crown prince of Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Minister and Sheikh Mohammed's brother, has been appointed as the country's new vice president.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's other brothers, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed and Sheikh Hasbin Zayed, were also announced as deputy rulers of Abu Dhabi.
