Accident happened when Rahmath and Sahra were returning after Iftar, says relative

KOZHIKODE: Some crucial information surface in connection with the incident of finding three dead who went missing in the fire on Alappuzha-Kannur Executive. The dead are identified as Noufik, Rahmath and her niece Sahra, all natives of Mattannur.

A relative of Rahmath said that she along with two-and-a half-year old niece Sahra had gone to their relative’s house in Chaliyam, Kozhikode for Iftar. The incident happened while they were returning to Mattannur. The death of the two were heard early Monday morning at 2.45 am. The child’s father’s friends informed about the accident and immediately left to the spot. While talking to a private channel, he said the news of their deaths were heard after reaching here.

The attack happened last night at 9 pm on the Alappuzha-Kannur Executive. The miscreant poured petrol on the passengers of D1 Coach and set fire. He later escaped in someone else’ bike. His bag has been found. Initial reports said the attack was a pre-planned one.
