NEW DELHI: The supreme head of the Malankara Orthodox faction, Baselios Marthoma Mathews III called on prime minister Narendra Modi today in Delhi. The meeting was held today afternoon in the prime minister's office. Union deputy minister from Kerala, V Muraleendharan was also in attendance.
Marthoma Mathews III later talked with the press regarding the meeting. The leader endorsed the development projects brought by the BJP government but cemented his stance on more criticism if attacks continue against minorities in India. Marthoma Mathews III was in Delhi to inaugurate and take part in the Easter celebrations.
The leader of the Christian faction also invited the Prime minister to the church headquarters in Kottayam.
