KOZHIKODE: Muralee Thummarukudy is the Chief of Disaster Risk Reduction in the UN Environment Programme. However, the Kozhikode native earned fame for predicting disasters in Kerala. Initially, everyone ridiculed the claims but slowly, Muralee’s premonitions turned true scaring the gloated consciences of people in the state.

Earlier Muralee predicted the death of a doctor by a patient in Kerala and even wrote about an impending boat disaster in the state. In May, doctor Vandana Das was murdered by patient Sandeep which shocked Kerala. On another side in Tanur, the boat ‘Atlantic’ capsized killing 23 people.

Muralee is now back with 10 other predictions for Kerala and has asked the people's opinion on the issue.

“ My father's brother was an astrologer. People would queue up in the house until 8 pm at night seeking his service. He believed solely in divine forms and held it responsible for people reaching him for advice. Meanwhile, I am no great fan of religious beliefs and tenets. For me, it is just keeping a close watch on matters of past and present, which helps me in predicting things. My prediction of the Rupee depreciation and the fire in the flat will happen soon. Meanwhile, there are 10 others also on the list." Muralee wrote
