Husband splashes hot oil on wife's face for questioning idleness; arrested

AMBALAPUZHA: A man was arrested for throwing hot coconut oil on his wife's face. Ambalapuzha CI S Dvijesh arrested Podimon(25) of the 14th ward. Podimon has been evading arrest for more than two months.

The incident happened on February 25. Podimon sitting idle at home and not earning any money irritated his family members, especially his wife. The usual exchange of words went too far this time as Podimon splashed hot oil onto his wife's face. Immediately after the incident, he escaped the scene. The police arrested him from the Kappil Beach premises. According to officials, Podimon is a history sheeter and is accused of many such petty crimes.
