Sexual harassment case against Brij Bhushan: Delhi Police seeks CCTV footage from five countries

kk

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police has sent notices to five countries seeking information and CCTV footage in connection with the sexual harassment allegations raised against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. It was stated in the FIR that Brij Bhushan had sexually harassed the women wrestlers while the wrestlers were participating in the tournaments held in Indonesia, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan.

Although the notice was sent immediately after lodging the FIR against Brij Bhushan, reports about it came out only recently. The Delhi Police stated that some nations have responded to the notice. The Delhi Police is planning to submit the charge sheet in the case on June 15.

The police have so far questioned nearly 200 persons, including protesting wrestlers, coaches, referees, and Brij Bhushan's colleagues. The police had asked six women wrestlers, who filed a complaint against Brij Bhushan, to provide evidence in this regard. Four of them have given evidence.
