THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister G R Anil said that 11,590 priority ration card holders in the state have not collected their ration allocation for the last six months. The minister said that there are 7,790 AAY cards with only one member and none of them have collected their allocation for the last four months.

The Minister also instructed the Civil Supplies Commissioner that the concerned taluk rationing inspectors should personally visit the houses of priority card holders who have not claimed the ration. They are instructed to assess the situation and submit a report. The Minister added that this will help to find out whether the priority cards are being held unduly without collecting the ration.
