But shattering all such prophesy, Lionel Messi is thriving in MLS and has taken Inter Miami to its first-ever CONCACAF Champions League next year. The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is in unstoppable form in America.

Inter Miami defeated Philadelphia Union by four goals to one in the League Cup semi-finals. Joseph Martinez, Jordi Alba, and David Ruiz found names in the scoresheet while Messi highlighted the game doing the playmaker role with ease and scoring a brilliant solo goal. Inter Miami, the team that ubiquitously ranked in the bottom is now in fledgling form with the arrival of the Argentinian meister.
