NEW DELHI: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party stating that their actions are not aligned with the teachings of the Gita, Upanishads and other Hindu scriptures. Rahul emphasized this during a conversation with students at Sciences Po University in Paris. The video of this conversation has been shared by the Congress on their official X page.
‘I have read the Gita, Upanishads and various Hindu texts. The BJP's actions do not resonate with Hinduism. Nowhere in any Hindu scripture have I found the endorsement of intimidating or harassing the weak. The term 'Hindu nationalist' is misleading; they are not true Hindu nationalists. Their actions are not connected to Hinduism but rather driven by a pursuit of power. They are not promoting Hindu values,’ stated Rahul Gandhi.
I have read the Gita, Upanishads and many Hindu books. There is nothing Hindu about what the BJP does—absolutely nothing.

I have not read anywhere in any Hindu book or heard from any learned Hindu person that you should terrorize or harm people who are weaker than you.
