PSC bribery: Two BJP leaders abetted Pramod, comment against district committee member

KOZHIKODE: More information surface in the PSC bribery case. Reports said the party's investigation revealed that the attempt for the misdeeds was made through two local BJP leaders and that Pramod Kottuli first received the cheque and later returned it and accepted money. The party decided to oust Pramod because they were convinced of it.

The local committee was the first to file a complaint in the bribery case. Most of the members who participated in the district committee meeting held yesterday wanted action to be taken against Pramod. The decision was then taken to expel him. However, CPM district secretary P Mohanan said the party does not have any complaint related to the PSC and has found that Pramod’s act has tarnished the image of the party.

The party is worried about how the allies will accept the action of expelling Pramod. Reports said the party has started trying to persuade the party allies in Pramod's influential areas. Pramod's decision is to proceed with legal action against the allegation. Meanwhile, Pramod has come forward against district committee member Prem Kumar. Pramod's comment below the district committee member's post was that you are the real hero of the scam.

Kozhikode town area committee member Pramod Kottuli was expelled from CPM primary membership yesterday. The action of the district committee is that Pramod's explanation is not satisfactory.

State secretariat members T P Ramakrishnan and Minister Muhammad Riyas participated in the district committee meeting held on the instructions of the state committee. The report of the three-member committee of the district secretariat which investigated the allegation was against Pramod. Pramod had denied the allegation.

It is alleged that a prominent doctor in Kozhikode was offered PSC membership or a high post in the AYUSH department and demanded 60 lakhs and received 22 lakhs.
Meanwhile, Pramod along with his mother, staged a satyagraha in front of the doctor's house. The complaint was filed by the doctor's husband. Bribe was not received and is ready for a lie detector test. He wants to convince his mother that he has not done anything wrong. Wants proof for accepting money. Complaint will be given to all agencies. Pramod said that his strike will continue today.
