PALAKKAD: The CPM has dropped former personal assistant for the 100th birthday celebrations of former chief minister V S Achuthanandan. A Suresh, who was VS’ close aide, has been excluded from the programme ‘Noorinte Niravil VS' organized by party supporters at Mundur in Palakkad. Suresh was with VS like a shadow.

A poster without his name has been released. Suresh had earlier stayed away from the party in the name of factionalism. VS' birthday falls on October 20. The programme is being organized by a group of party supporters. The organizers had earlier invited Suresh and he had accepted it. All the guests are CPM members including A Prabhakaran MLA.

However, reports said some leaders did not like inviting Suresh for the programme. Though the organizers explained that Suresh had not joined any other party and was awaiting after an appeal to return to the CPM, it did not yield ay results. It is reported that he was removed after that.
