DUBAI: An Indian project manager, winner of a new raffle draw in UAE, will get Rs 5.5 lakh monthly for 25 years. Magesh Kumar Natarajan, a 49-year-old resident of Ambur in Tamil Nadu has hit the jackpot.
‘Natarajan became the winner in the UAE draw of 'Fast 5 Grand Prize'. Its prize money is 25,000 dirhams (5.6 lakh). Natarajan is the first person from outside the UAE to win this draw. Natarajan came to Saudi Arabia as part of a four-year work-related assignment. Natarajan, who arrived in 2019, is playing the lottery at the end of his assignment.
Natarajan was attracted to lotteries during his trips across Dubai. He later came to know about Emirates draw. Natarajan said that at first, he could not believe that he became the winner of the lottery. He confirmed winning the lottery when the officials contacted him.
Natarajan said that he will use the prize money to help those suffering in the society. Natarajan added that this amount will be used for the education of his two daughters. He said that during his studies and after that, he had faced great difficulties in his life. Many local people helped him to complete his studies. Now it’s my time to give back to society. It will ensure that my contribution reaches needy people. Those were unbelievable moments. The prize money will be spent for the future of the family, said Natarajan.
Muhammad Adil Khan, a native of Uttar Pradesh, was selected as the winner of the last season's draw of the Fast 5 draw. The draw was held in last July.
