NEW DELHI: Lashkar-e-Taiba has threatened to bomb 10 railway stations in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh on November 13. The threat stated that Lashkar would take revenge against the Indian army for killing terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. Lashkar also threatened to demolish the Jagadari power plant, railway coach factory, bus stand and temples in Haryana on November 15.
Railway officials said that security has been beefed up for railway stations and trains. The letter was received on October 26 at the Yamuna Nagar Jagadari railway station in Haryana in the name of Karim Ansari, who is claimed to be the area commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The threat letter was handed over to the Chief Security Commissioner of Northern Railway RPF. Railways has said that it is not dismissing the threat against railway stations. Police have launched an investigation. It is also being investigated whether the letter was sent by someone else in the name of Lashkar.
