Used Malayali students as carriers, drug mafia leader arrested; main link in gang smuggling drugs to Kerala

KOZHIKODE: Police have arrested infamous drug dealer Bengaluru Koramangala native Muhammad Tamim (29) arrested. They also seized 81 grams of MDMA from him. He was caught by the teams led by Narcotics Cell Assistant Commissioner T P Jacob and Kasaba Station Sub Inspector Jagmohan Dutt from a private tourist home in Kozhikode.

Police said that Tamim is the main link in the gang that smuggles MDMA to Kerala. He used to do the dealings in Bengaluru. He was named in a drug case registered at the Town police station 10 months ago. He used to buy drugs from foreigners and then sell them to Malayali students.

He used to sell drugs through WhatsApp in order to avoid getting caught by the police. The police also said that he used to give drugs to Malayali students reaching Bengaluru and make them carriers.
