ALUVA: “A poster appeared on ESI hospital Pathalam in Kochi and the content is staggering. It mentions the high probability of heart attacks in people who took vaccines during the COVID pandemic.” An image of the poster and this writing is currently spreading through social media platforms. Six months back, a similar campaign sprouted in social media against ESI Hospital. Back then, the hospital issued a press release and curbed all tensions. After a small gap, the misleading campaign is back again shocking many people in Kerala.

Deaths from sudden cardiac arrest were more common among those between the ages of 40 and 60 who received the vaccine, the note said, adding that the vaccine hardened blood vessels and caused blood clots. The note also asks people who took the vaccine to take the D Dimer test and seek medical help.

The social media campaign also took a jibe at the government’s initiative that pushed many people to vaccination. At the same time, the authorities informed that no such note has been issued by ESI and action will be taken against those spreading false propaganda.
