Six-year-old abduction case; Anithakumari's voice sample collected

KOLLAM: A voice sample of Anithakumari, one of the three accused people involved in the abduction case of a six-year-old girl from Puyapally has been gathered. The sample aimed at confirming Anithakumari's voice in the ransom call made to the child's mother was taken to the Forensic Lab in Thiruvananthapuram recently.

Padmakumar, along with his wife and Anithakumari allegedly abducted the child and took her to Chathannoor Mampallikkunnam. Later, they visited a hotel in Paripally Kizhakkanela where they reportedly demanded ransom using the owner's wife Girija's phone. The audio recording of this call has been forwarded to the forensic team for analysis.

Upon testing both voice samples against the ransom call, the forensic report will be submitted to the court. This process aims to eliminate potential loopholes for the accused during the trial. Anithakumari's voice allegedly heard in the ransom note audio will undergo scientific verification. Additional voice samples have also been collected for comparison purposes.

The investigation team plans to file an application to obtain the court's report following the forensic analysis. Confirmation of Anithakumari's voice through scientific means could strengthen the case against the accused securing the trial process.
