Burglary at Bevco outlet after sprinkling chilli powder, liquor worth RS 65,000 stolen

THRISSUR: Various brands of liquor worth Rs 65000 were stolen from the Bevco outlet at Edamutta in Thrissur. The theft was done after sprinkling chili powder.

The burglary was carried out by a gang of masked youths on Friday morning. The Thrissur Valappad police have launched an investigation into the incident.

The theft was discovered when the employees came to open the outlet in the morning. Forensic experts and dog squad reached the spot and conducted an investigation. The police will also check the CCTV footage.
