THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The first cabinet meet after two new ministers assumed charge in the second Pinarayi government will be convened here today. This is the first cabinet meeting after the Nava Kerala Sadas organized by the LDF. The meeting will be held at 10 am in the secretariat.

The government is planning to start the assembly session on January 25th with Governor's policy and presentation of the state budget on February 2nd. As the Lok Sabha elections are nearing, it is possible that the proceedings will be completed and the house will be adjourned on February 9.

K B Ganesh Kumar and Kadannappally Ramachandran were sworn in as new ministers recently. According to the agreement of the LDF, they took charge in the vacancy after Ahmed Devarkovil and Antony Raju who completed two and a half years, tendered their resignations.

The portfolios of Kadannappally are registration, museum, archeology and archives. Ganesh Kumar was given the departments of road transport, motor vehicle and water transport. Meantime, the government rejected Ganesh Kumar's demand to give him cultural fields along with other portfolios.
