Temperature in next few days likely to go up; may touch 40 degrees in one district

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The temperature is likely to go up in the state in the coming days. The weather department has informed that till March 30, the temperature in Thrissur may rise up to 40 degrees Celsius, and the temperature in Kollam and Palakkad may rise up to 39 degrees Celsius.

Apart from this, the central meteorological department informed that the temperature may rise up to 38 degrees Celsius in Pathanamthitta, 37 degrees in Kottayam, Ernakulam, Kozhikode and Kannur districts and 36 degrees in Alappuzha, Malappuram and Kasaragod.

Meantime, the central meteorological department has informed that there is a possibility of summer rains in four districts today. Warning in Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Ernakulam. Rain is likely to lash Alappuzha and Ernakulam tomorrow. The officials have informed that there is no hindrance to fishing in Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts.
