KOCHI: A 9th-class student of Edappally Government School is getting noticed by taking classes online for American students. Raul John Aju has a self-made robot to help in the online class related to future technology.

US students are contacted via Google Meet. The service is used by a school called Insight for Kids. They can watch Raul live on the screen placed in the class of about forty students. Students from class 2 to class 10 listen to Raul's ideas. The trends and benefits of artificial intelligence are presented.

Raul, a student of North Edappally Govt. VHSS got interested in future technology three years ago. Things seen on scientific sites were gradually put into practice. After months of effort, 'MeBot' was born.

Initially designed like a computer game, the robot was then brought to life with the help of AI. MeBot can move and blink and answer to any question.

Raul John started his YouTube channel after many people listened to his knowledge of future technology. Complex matters will be presented in game style. Study platforms abroad recognized Raul's talent during discussions in the clubhouse.

Classes for American students are on holidays. If the questions come when Raul is asleep, the robot will answer in Raul's voice. Raul John is the son of Aju Joseph from Edappally Amritnagar. Mother: Sheba Ann.

MeBot

The body of Raul's robot, named MeBot, is made of multiwood. His classmate Syed helped build the body. A wheeled platform made mobility possible. MeBot will also move its arms. The part consisting of the eyes and chest are digital gadgets. The robot works on Canva AI, Unreal Engine and Inworld AI. Doubts are answered in Raul's voice. If it is a provocation question, the answer will be in the same tone. MeBot, built with the help of classmate Syed Hasan, stood out at the school science fair.

Next goal

The new year's goal is a drone for the disabled. It is still in the making. The drone will fly as the eyes of the blind and the tongue of the voiceless. The drone can be controlled through a smart watch.
