Bengaluru-Ernakulam Express getting delayed for over one hour; service hit in Angamaly-Thrissur route

KOCHI: Trains scheduled on Sunday are getting stopped for hours at Angamaly yard due to maintenance work, causing distress to scores of passengers. Trains running on the Angamaly - Thrissur route have been brought to a stop. Bengaluru - Ernakulam Express has been held up at Thrissur for over an hour.

Palakkad - Ernakulam Junction MEMU (06797) scheduled to depart at 7.20 am and Ernakulam Junction - Palakkad MEMU (06798) scheduled to depart at 2.45 pm was cancelled today due to the maintenance work.

Thiruvananthapuram – Kozhikode Janshatabdi Express (12076) serviced only till Ernakulam station and didn’t go any further due to the ongoing works. Thiruvananthapuram – Shornur Venad Express (16302) will terminate at Ernakulam Town and Kannur – Alappuzha Express (16308) will terminate at Shornur. Palakkad - Thoothukudi Palaruvi Express (16792) will leave Aluva today at 6.05 pm. All services between Palakkad and Aluva have been cancelled on Sunday.
