Girls afraid to go to school, reason being teacher's cruelties

BHUBANESWAR: A headmaster has been arrested for allegedly molesting minor girl students in school. The police said that he has been booked under section including the POCSO Act.

The incident took place in a private school in Odisha's Kendrapara district. On January 16, the said teacher allegedly molested the girl students of classes six and seven. The molestation took place while waiting at the school to go for tuition.

After the incident, the parents came to know about the harassment when they asked the children who were afraid to go to school. After this, the parents lodged a complaint with the police.

After recording the statements of the children, the police arrived and arrested the teacher. After being produced in court, the accused was remanded in judicial custody.
