Price of gold falls for third consecutive day; yellow metal records lowest price for month of February

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The price of gold has dipped in the state for the third consecutive day. The price of one sovereign of 22-carat gold has fallen by Rs 160 today. One sovereign of gold now only costs Rs 46,200 as a result. Gold had dropped in price by Rs 160 on Saturday and Rs 120 yesterday.

The price of one gram of gold has come down to Rs 5775. On February 1, the price of one sovereign of gold stood at Rs 46,520. Meanwhile, the price of 24-carat gold also dipped today by Rs 176. One sovereign of 24-carat gold is being sold at Rs 50,400.
