Student denied entry to exam hall over low model exam scores

exam

PALAKKAD: Sanjay, a student of Palakkad Railway HSS, faced exclusion from the Plus Two Physics exam on March 1st, when the principal denied him a hall ticket due to low marks in the model exam. Despite other students with similarly low scores being permitted, Sanjay was singled out and instructed to take only the supplementary exam.

Sanjay recounted being threatened with physical punishment if he refused to comply with the principal's directive. His father, Sunil Kumar, has voiced intentions of pursuing legal recourse against the school's actions. Complaints have been lodged with the Chief Minister, the Collector, and the Education Minister. However, the principal has declined to offer any comment on the matter.

Expressing his frustration, Sanjay lamented the unfair treatment, stating his aspirations to join the merchant navy relied heavily on excelling in physics and chemistry. Despite his efforts to plead his case, the principal remained steadfast, even insisting on a red mark on Sanjay's certificate and demanding his immediate departure from the school premises.
