CHANDIGARH: BJP has announced its new Chief Minister in Haryana following the resignation of Manohar Lal Khattar. Haryana BJP Chief Nayab Singh Saini will be the next Chief Minister of the state. The oath ceremony will take place on Tuesday evening. Saini is currently an MP from Kurukshetra. Meanwhile, it is reported that Manohar Lal Khattar will contest in the Lok Sabha polls.
The BJP-JJP alliance cabinet led by former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar resigned this morning. Khattar submitted his resignation after meeting Governor Bandaru Dattatreya in person. The sudden resignation of the cabinet came in the backdrop of sharp differences of opinion between the BJP and the JJP. It is reported that the rift between the two parties intensified over seat sharing in the Lok Sabha elections.
The BJP had won all ten seats in the previous Lok Sabha elections. The party's state leadership informed that it won't give even one seat to JJP this time. However, JJP is demanding that it wants two seats.
