Mukesh Ambani recently announced Isha Ambani as the head of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited. With the arrival of Isha, the company was in news for doing good business. Soon after assuming the post, Isha was able to bring more foreign brands with her. As of August 2023, the pre-money equity value of Reliance Retail Ventures has risen to Rs 8.381 lakh crore.

Darshan Mehta, president and chief executive of Reliance Brands Limited, is a confidant of Isha Ambani. An early employee of Reliance, Darshan has also been instrumental in building the Reliance brand. Darshan has been instrumental in introducing more than 50 international brands including Giorgio Armani, Bottega Veneta, Jimmy Choo and Burberry.

Mehta, who is a Chartered Accountant, first worked at Price Waterhouse in Mumbai. He later jointed Trikeya Gray Advertising Company. After this, Mehta joined Reliance. Mehta's visionary leadership helped Reliance reshape the retail landscape and ushered in an era of unparalleled luxury and sophistication.

As per the report for the financial year 2020-21, his salary is reported to be Rs 4.89 crore. Darshan Mehta's decisions for the growth of the company have not gone wrong so far. Isha was just 15 years old when Mehra started working in Reliance. Mehta is Isha’s closest confidant when she reached an important post today.
