KANNUR: CPM stated there was lack of vigil in their leaders visiting the house of Sherin, who was killed in an explosion during bomb making in Panoor. The CPM also thinks that they should not have given arms to their opponents during the elections.
CPM Panoor area committee member Sudheer Kumar and Poyilur local committee member A Asokan came to Sherin's house. Koothuparamba MLA KP Mohanan also attended the funeral. Local leaders and others visited the house while the CPM was repeating that it had no connection with Sherin or the bomb making. The Panoor area committee of the CPM had earlier explained that Sherin had no connection with the party. KP Mohanan said that he visited the house as an MLA.
CPM State Secretary MV Govindan also responded that the party had no role in the blast. Govindan told the media that if anyone has gone to Sherin's house, those persons should be asked about it. When asked about this again, he spoke angrily. Govindan added that the said persons are the accused in the case of attacking party comrades.
Sherin was killed in a bomb blast at a house under construction in Muliaythottil in Kunnothuparambu last Friday morning. Vineesh (39) of Valiyaparambath of Muliyathodu, Vinod (39) of Chirakkarandimek in Kunnothuparambu and Ashwanth (28) of Kallayintavida in Central Kunnothuparambu were also injured in the blast.
Meanwhile, BJP state president K Surendran alleged that the visit of CPM leaders to the house of the deceased in the bomb blast shows that the CPM leadership is responsible for making the bomb.
