PUNE: In a shocking incident, condoms, gutka and stones were found in the samosas served in the canteen of a leading automobile company. The incident took place in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, Maharashtra. Following the incident, the police registered a case against five persons named Raheem Sheikh, Azhar Sheikh, Masar Sheikh, Firoz Sheikh and Vicky Sheikh.
A company called Catalyst Service Solutions Pvt Ltd has been supplying the snacks to the canteen of the automobile firm. However, the Catalyst company recently awarded the contract to supply samosas to another sub-contracting firm called Manohar Enterprises. Condoms, gutka and stones were found in the samosas supplied by this sub-contracting firm. Following this, the automobile firm lodged a complaint with the police.
During the investigation, the police found that Firoz Shaikh and Vicky Shaikh, who worked in Manohar Enterprises, were the ones who filled the samosas with condoms, gutka and stones. The police then questioned them. The accused admitted that they did so to defame Manohar Enterprises.
The police also found that the accused were employees of another company, SRA Enterprises, which had previously supplied snacks on a contract basis. The police registered a case against those who adulterated the food and those who appointed them to do so. Police said that further investigation is going on in the matter.
