HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader KT Rama Rao said that Congress leader and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will soon leave Congress and join the BJP. KTR said that although he had said this publicly 15 times, Revanth Reddy was not ready to explain his stand on the matter.
According to KTR, Revanth Reddy is planning to leave the Congress immediately after the Lok Sabha election results are announced. He also alleged that another prominent Congress leader in South India will also join the BJP along with Revanth Reddy.
"While Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is criticising Narendra Modi, Revanth Reddy is saying that Modi is like his elder brother. He had also claimed that Telangana will move forward by following the model of Gujarat's development," KTR said.
KTR also predicted that the Congress will not get even 50 seats across the country in the Lok Sabha elections.
"Last month, I had asked Revanth Reddy to publicly declare at a party meeting in Secunderabad that he would remain in Congress forever. However, he is keeping silent on allegations of joining the BJP after the elections. Why is he not responding to such criticisms?" KTR asked.
