Circulating obscene pictures and videos through Instagram; will lodge complaint with Election Commission, says KK Shailaja

KOZHIKODE: KK Shailaja, the LDF candidate in Vadakara, accused the UDF and Shafi Parambil of attempting to tarnish her reputation through false campaigns on social media. She alleged that the UDF workers were circulating obscene pictures and videos through Instagram. She also said that they were circulating obscene videos on family groups. Shailaja said that she would lodge a complaint in this regard to the Election Commission and the Presiding Officer.

"They are trying to insult me and tarnish my reputation by making fake video clips. I request everyone not to believe what is spread without any moral thought," Shailaja said.

Shailaja said that a picture of hers was morphed into an obscene picture and circulated on the group 'Vadakara KL 18'. She said that the picture showing her standing beside the accused in the Panoor bomb blast case was fake.

"All these fake photos are being circulated on family groups. This is an attempt to destroy my connection with family members. The UDF candidate, who is claiming that he does not know about such acts, should ask those behind these false campaigns to stop it. I will file a complaint against these false campaigns on Tuesday itself," she said.
