Sharada Pratishtha at Sivagiri paved way for renaissance in Kerala society: Governor Arif Mohammed Khan

sivagiri-

SIVAGIRI: Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said that Shri Sharada Pratishta by Sri Narayana Gurudeva is a sign of Intellectualism. He said that Shiva Pratishtha at Aruvipuram and Sharada Pratishtha at Sivagiri paved the way for a great renaissance in Kerala society. The Governor was inaugurating the Sri Narayana Dharma Mimamsa Parishad organized by the Guru Dharma Pracharana Sabha on the occasion of the 112th anniversary of Shri Sharada Pratishta.

Gurudeva's call to impart knowledge to the people through education and lead them to progress is of historical significance. Only a society that attained freedom through knowledge can become and grow as a decisive force in a democratic system. Gurudev who encouraged everyone to become enlightened with knowledge suggested at some point that we need schools instead of temples. Aruvipuram Pratishtha was conducted by the Guru giving all Hindus the opportunity to worship when a section was excluded from freedom of worship. The governor pointed out that the Guru taught that knowledge is the essence of philosophy.

Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust President Swami Satchidananda presided. He said that Sri Narayana Dharma Mimamsa Parishad aims to assimilate Gurudev's one-world vision and that Gurudev imparted universal vision. Swami Subhangananda, general secretary of the trust, said that Gurudev has given a new dimension to God and the temple through his consecration deeds.

Swami Parananda, former treasurer of Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust, lit the lamp before the conference. Treasurer Swami Saradananda, Trust Board Member Swami Sookshmananda, Guru Dharma Pracharana Sabha Secretary Swami Asangananda Giri, Vice President VK Muhammad and Joint Registrar CT Ajayakumar spoke. The Governor released the books 'Kumaranashan Kanda Gurudevan' by Swami Satchidananda and 'Madhuramulla Kadhakal' by Swami Shivaswarupananda.
