'Fourth class citizen, Rahul Gandhi's DNA should be examined'; PV Anvar makes abusive remarks

PALAKKAD: PV Anvar MLA has made an abusive remark against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Speaking at a campaign programme of the LDF at Edathunattukara in Palakkad, Anvar said that Rahul Gandhi should be addressed only as Rahul as he has become a fourth-class citizen who does not even deserve to be addressed along with the surname 'Gandhi'.

"Rahul Gandhi has become a fourth-class citizen who does not even deserve to be addressed along with the surname 'Gandhi'. I'm not the one who said this. People across the country have been saying this for the last two days. He should be addressed simply as 'Rahul' by omitting the surname 'Gandhi'. Rahul recently asked why the central government was not putting Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan behind bars. Can a person in the Nehru family say like that? I am of the opinion that Rahul's DNA should be examined. I have no doubt about that. Things have reached to such an extent that it should be doubted if Rahul is the agent of Modi," Anvar said.

Meanwhile, Vijayaraghavan, the LDF candidate in Palakkad constituency, has come out against PV Anvar's abusive remarks. Vijayaraghavan responded that there is no need to take one part of the MLA's speech and make it controversial.

"It is better to use good language while delivering a speech. I didn't hear Anvar's speech. Hence, it is not right to respond to it," he said.
