Various districts to receive heavy rain till Tuesday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that southern and central districts of Kerala are likely to receive heavy rain till Tuesday. Thunderstorms and strong winds of speeds up to 55 kmph are likely to accompany the rain. Fishing is not allowed in southern Kerala from Saturday to Monday.

Districts such as Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta and Idukki received heavy rain yesterday. 52 mm of rain fell in an hour in the capital city, causing waterlogging in many places.
