Husband and Pavitra gave mental torture, they went to Ooty: Chandrakant's ex-wife reveals

After Telugu serial actress Pavitra Jayaram died in an accident, her friend and serial actor Chandrakant was found dead the following day. The actor's body was found at his residence in Alkapur, Telangana. The preliminary conclusion is suicide. The police recovered Chandrakant's suicide note from the scene. Telugu media have already reported that Chandrakant and Pavitra Jayaram were in a romantic relationship.

Chandrakant's ex-wife, Shilpa has come forward after this incident. She stated that Chandrakant physically assaulted her when she questioned his relationship with Pavitra. "I have not told anyone that Chandrakant harassed me during the lockdown. We were married for 11 years. Initially, he loved me and our children very much. But after meeting Pavitra, more problems arose. Chandrakant had lied about going to Bengaluru for shooting, instead going on vacation to Ooty with Pavitra. They shot reels and posted them on social media. It was mental torture. Pavitra was older than me. Pavitra replied, 'Chandrakant is my husband, do whatever you want.' I also told this to Pavitra's children but they supported their mother's relationship. However, Chandrakant's mother stood by me. I was hoping he would come back to us," Shilpa said.

Chandrakant's mother also responded to the media, saying, "Pavitra even stopped Chandrakant from coming to our house. Pavitra married him. Now she killed him. First, she took him away from us and now he has committed suicide because of her."

Pavitra died in a car accident on the 12th of this month near Mehboob Nagar in Andhra Pradesh. The car the actress was traveling in lost control and hit the divider. A bus coming from Hyderabad collided with the car. Pavitra was seriously injured and died on the spot.

Apart from Kannada, the actress was also active in other languages. She gained more recognition through the Telugu television series 'Trinayani.' The accident occurred while traveling to Hanakere, Mandya District, Karnataka. Pavitra's relative Apeksha, driver Srikanth and Chandrakant were injured in the accident.
